Millions of cats, kittens, dogs and puppies are killed in shelters each year because they are deemed non adoptable… Often it’s because the kittens and puppies are still nursing, or because the overcrowded conditions in the shelters causes illness before the animals can find homes.

Big Cat Rescue saw an opportunity to help with this situation and decided to start a foster kitten program at the sanctuary! We provide a temporary home for orphaned kittens or nursing moms, bottle feed the kittens, provide veterinary care and get them weaned before transporting them back to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, where they are spayed, neutered and then put up for adoption!

So far we have saved over 100 kittens and cats and found them all forever homes! 🙂

Please don’t breed or buy while shelter pets die…
